INNOVITASKOLAN VÄLLINGBY PARK operates in bright, beautiful premises. Here, students can attend from preschool up to grade 9. The preschool has 5 departments divided into smaller groups based on needs and the content of the teaching. All students and children have good conditions to be seen and develop according to their abilities. The schoolyard is constantly being developed, and the proximity to green areas is utilized extensively.

We are looking for a special education teacher

We are looking for you who are a special education teacher and want to be part of a school that aims to give all students the opportunity for their own choices in the future. Here, you will contribute every day to the development of all students towards the goals of education and support colleagues, students, and the entire work team.

Your mission

As a special education teacher, you provide advice and support to work teams, student groups, and individuals. You conduct assessments together with teachers and plan interventions as well as suggest appropriate strategies, methods, and tools. If necessary, you establish action plans together with educational staff. You also teach students with support needs in individual or small group settings. As a special education teacher, you are an important resource in the work of follow-up and evaluation.

In close collaboration with teachers and the principal, you contribute to creating accessible learning environments that enable all students to succeed in school. You support teachers in adapting the learning environment and designing additional adaptations. You coach teachers in working with special support through coaching conversations and establishing support measures in educational mappings and in the establishment of action programs and their follow-up. An important part of the assignment is to be part of the school's student health team, where you contribute to developing student health work at the school together with your colleagues. The student health team consists of the principal, vice principal, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a qualified special education teacher with certification and feel confident in supporting students, especially in core subjects, Swedish and Mathematics. You are well acquainted with the student health process. At our school, we have high ambitions for our children's learning and development, and our work is characterized by high engagement. Therefore, we are looking for someone with a strong personal commitment to learning and who is driven to explore new methods and techniques in teaching through collegial collaboration.

As a special education teacher, you are attentive and want to guide students towards the future. You are also creative, open, structured, and a clear leader. You base your work on research and experience and are not afraid to try different methods in your teaching with students and when mentoring educators. You have experience in driving processes and improvement work. You should have an approach that focuses on goal fulfillment through follow-up and analysis. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of modern digital tools and certification in the subject of Swedish as a second language (SVA).
